Nike Shoe Burger

Created by Olle Hemmendorff from Sweden:

"8 creatives/designers/photographers/artists/fraaaaaahhhh were asked to interpret 8 different Nike Sportswear icons. I got the Air Max 90.

In the tradition of material innovation of AM 90, i constructed a running shoe using the most powerful, must durable and most delicious material known to man: hamburger.

Good fun!"

Living Necklaces

"Artist Paula Hayes is a New York sculptor, painter and landscape designer. She has worked with organic mediums to develop a special line of ‘Living Necklaces jewelry’." via

Not sure how practical this is but I think its a super interesting idea.

Barack Obama

This toy is rad. Unfortunately the guns don't come with the actual action figure but everything in the pic directly above does. You can read more about it or purchase it here.

Here are some recordings of Barack Obama saying some outrageous stuff. The one about the fries is my favorite. (Thanks Chris)

"You know that guy ain’t shit. Sorry-ass motherfucker ain’t got nothing on me."

You ain’t my bitch, nigga! Buy your own damn fries!

Ted & Francis

So here's another cool Australian band. I haven't heard all of their stuff or know a whole lot about them other than they are on Kitsune but I dig the song below. Check it out.

Dewight Schrute's Youtube channel when he was 12

Solange Knowles is cool?!

Ok so Solange (Beyonce's sister) is coming up in the world and has graduated to Cool from eh. Here is why:
  1. She very very recently recorded a song to "Say Whoa" by A-Trak with A-Trak
  2. She is #3 on Midnight Juggernauts top friends on myspace
  3. Her brother in law is Jay Z (#1 and/or #2 would be enough.. this is just the icing and sprinkles)
Official ALIWOOD prediction: Her next album is going to be huge and will recieve high acclaim. (remeber you heard it here first)

You can listen to the original "Say Whoa" here:

The Whitest Boy Alive

The new Whitest Boy Alive album comes out in March! Its called Rules and its going to be put out on their own label called Bubbles. There were a few songs on their first album that I LOVED and others I thought were just eh. So far Rules is sounding good though. I really hope they tour the states this time around. Ive been wanting to see Erlend Oye live for sometime.

N.A.S.A. (North America South America) is a collaboration between New York producer Squeak E. Clean and Brazilian DJ DJ Zegon. They were able to get a TON of interesting people to collaborate on their new album The Spirit of Apollo which is due Feb 17.

Here is a list a few artists who are featured on The Spirit of Apollo:

Kanye West
Karen O (Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
David Byrne (Talking Heads)
Lykke Li
George Clinton
Method Man
Tom Waits
Lovefoxxx (CSS)
Chali 2na (Jurassic 5)
Spank Rock
The Cool Kids
Seu Jorge
Ghostface Killah
Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
